PB Focus — Player Privacy Policy
PB Focus Player Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Pickleball Ventures, LLC ("PB Focus," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you register for a pickleball tournament or league, how we use it, and who we share it with. Straightforward, no fine print tricks.
1. Information We Collect
Basic info: your name (including any suffix or nickname you add), email address, phone number, city, state, and ZIP code. We don't require your street address. If you choose to add it, or any other optional details, to your profile, we store them with your other profile information.
Profile details you choose to add: profile photo, gender, shirt size, and whether you've opted in to text messages.
Date of birth, to confirm event eligibility and to know when parental consent is needed.
Event details: the events you register for, your skill level or rating, results, and schedule information.
Emergency contact information, if an Organization's event asks for it.
Payment information: handled directly by Stripe. PB Focus does not see or store your full card number.
2. How We Use Your Information
To register you for events, run brackets and schedules, and process your payment.
To communicate with you about the events you've registered for.
To provide customer support.
To improve and troubleshoot PB Focus.
To let you know about other pickleball events, features, or promotions we think you'd be interested in — you can opt out of these any time (see "Your Choices & Rights" below).
3. Ownership of Your Information & How Organizations Use It
PB Focus collects and owns the player profile information created when you register for an event. When you sign up for a tournament or league, we give the Organization hosting that event a limited license to use your information — but only your information, and only to run that specific event.
Organizations can only see and use information for players who registered through them. They don't have access to your information from other events, or to other players' information from theirs.
Organizations are only allowed to use your information for things related to your event — like updates, brackets, and results — not to market to you, build a mailing list, or share it with sponsors or other third parties.
Because PB Focus owns this information, we may use it ourselves, including to market pickleball events, features, or promotions to you — see "How We Use Your Information" above and "Your Choices & Rights" below for how to opt out.
4. Who Else We Share It With
Stripe, to process your payment.
Service providers who help us run the platform, like hosting and email tools.
Legal authorities, only if we're required to by law.
We never sell your information.
5. Text Messages & Phone Calls
If you give us a phone number, you're agreeing that PB Focus (or a service acting on our behalf) can call or text you about your registrations, event updates, and account matters. If you separately agree to receive marketing texts or calls, you can opt out any time by replying STOP to a text or contacting us directly — you're never required to consent to marketing calls or texts to use PB Focus. We won't sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar tools to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking them may affect how well the site works.
7. Accounts for Younger Players
Players who are 15, 16, or 17 can create and manage their own account — no parent needed. They control their own information the same way an adult player would.
Players who are 14 or younger can't create their own account. A parent or legal guardian can add them to the parent's account and register them for events.
For players 14 and under, we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): we collect only what's needed for them to participate, we won't use their information for marketing or targeted advertising, and a parent can review, update, or ask us to delete it at any time.
Parents can review, correct, or ask us to delete their child's information any time by emailing us.
8. Your Choices & Rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information by contacting us or the Organization running your event.
You can opt out of marketing messages from PB Focus at any time — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can just email us directly. Transactional messages about events you've registered for (like schedule changes) will still be sent even if you opt out of marketing.
9. Your State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws (like California's) to know what information we've collected about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We don't sell your information. To make a request, email us at legal@pickleballventures.com.
10. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no system is ever completely secure. If a breach happens that puts your information at risk, we'll let you know in line with applicable law.
11. How Long We Keep It
We keep your information as long as needed for the events you've registered for, and for a reasonable time afterward for record-keeping and legal purposes.
12. If Our Business Changes Hands
If PB Focus is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We'll make sure it continues to be protected in line with this policy.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know. Continuing to use PB Focus after an update means you accept the changes.
14. Contact Us

15. SMS Program
PB Focus offers optional SMS notifications for account activity and the tournaments and leagues you participate in. SMS is strictly opt-in:
- You opt in by signing into your PB Focus account, enabling the “SMS alerts” toggle on your profile, and verifying your mobile phone number with a one-time code we send you.
- Messages you may receive include registration confirmations, payment receipts, bracket and schedule updates, match reminders, substitute-player requests (you may reply YES or NO), and ad-hoc announcements from tournament or league organizers about their event.
- Message frequency varies and depends on the events you register for and the notifications enabled by their organizers.
- Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier apply to any SMS you send or receive.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, or by turning off the “SMS alerts” toggle on your profile. Reply HELP for assistance.
- Your mobile phone number and consent status are not shared with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
