PB Focus — Organizer Terms and Conditions
PB Focus Organizer Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Welcome to PB Focus! We're glad you're here. PB Focus is software made by Pickleball Ventures, LLC ("PB Focus," "we," "us," or "our") that helps organizations like yours run pickleball tournaments and leagues — things like event pages, registration, payments, brackets, and communication with players.
These terms explain how we work together. We've written them in plain language instead of legal jargon, because we want you to actually understand what you're agreeing to.
By creating an account or using PB Focus, you're agreeing to these terms on behalf of your organization ("you," "your," or "Organization"). If you don't agree, please don't use PB Focus.
1. What PB Focus Is (and Isn't)
PB Focus is a software tool. We give you the platform to list events, take registrations, collect payments through Stripe, run brackets, and communicate with your players.
We don't run your tournaments or leagues. You decide the rules, the schedule, who's eligible, and how your event works. You're responsible for your event — we're not.
2. Setting Up Your Account
You'll need to create an organization account with accurate, up-to-date information.
You're responsible for anything that happens under your account, so keep your login information safe and tell us right away if you think someone else has gotten into it.
You must connect a Stripe account before you can create a tournament or league. That's how your players' payments get processed and how you get paid.
3. Fees & Payments
PB Focus charges a Platform Fee for using our software. The fee is shown to the player as a separate line item at checkout and is paid by the player on top of your registration fee. Stripe routes it to PB Focus automatically, so it is not taken out of your registration proceeds, and you don't need to send us anything separately for a normal paid registration.
If you "comp" (waive the registration fee for) a player, you still owe us the Platform Fee for that registration. We'll send you an invoice for it, and it's due immediately when you receive it.
All payment activity — collecting money from players and paying you your share — happens through Stripe. PB Focus never holds or touches player payments directly.
Refunds to players are entirely up to you. You set your own refund policy for your events, and you're responsible for handling any refund requests from players.
4. Player Information: Who Owns It & Your License to Use It
Player information collected through PB Focus — including the profiles created when players register for events — belongs to PB Focus. We collect it, and we own it. When you use PB Focus, we grant you a limited license to use the player information collected through your own events, solely to run those events. You agree to:
Stick to your own events. Your license only covers players who registered through your organization. You don't have access to player information from other Organizations' events, and you may not try to get it.
Use it only for your event. You can use this information for transactional communications tied to the event a player registered for — things like updates, brackets, and results.
No solicitation or marketing. Because you don't own this information, you may not use it to market or solicit players, build your own marketing list, promote unrelated events, or share it with sponsors or other third parties.
Keep it reasonably secure, and only let team members who need it have access.
Follow all privacy laws that apply to you and your events.
Forward player requests to us. If a player asks to correct, delete, or stop receiving communications about their information, let us know so we can help, since PB Focus is the owner of this information.
Because PB Focus owns this data, we may also use player contact information for our own purposes — like telling players about other pickleball events, features, or promotions — subject to our Player Privacy Policy and applicable opt-out rights.
If your event includes players under 18, extra care applies — see the PB Focus Organizer Privacy Policy for what that means for you.
5. Your Content
Anything you upload or create in PB Focus — event descriptions, photos, logos, results — is still yours. By posting it, you're giving us permission to display it on the platform so players can see it. Please don't post anything false, offensive, or that you don't have the right to use.
6. Playing Fair (Acceptable Use)
Please don't use PB Focus to break the law, harass anyone, misrepresent your event, or interfere with how the software works (like hacking, scraping, or overloading our systems). Please also don't try to copy PB Focus or use it to build a competing product. We can suspend or close accounts that don't follow these rules.
7. Who Owns PB Focus
The PB Focus software, website, app, design, and branding belong to us. Using PB Focus gives you a license to use it for your events — it doesn't give you any ownership in the platform itself.
Don't copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or try to rebuild PB Focus.
Don't use the PB Focus name or logo without our permission.
We may mention your organization as a PB Focus customer in our own marketing (for example, on our website), unless you ask us not to.
8. Running Your Events Responsibly
PB Focus gives you the tools to run your event, but running it safely and legally is on you. You agree to:
Get whatever permits, licenses, insurance, and approvals your event needs before you open registration.
Have your own participant rules, waivers, and event-specific terms for players — these Terms cover your relationship with PB Focus, not the specifics of your event.
Follow all laws that apply to your event, including anything related to minors participating.
9. Taxes
You're responsible for figuring out whether sales, use, or similar taxes apply to your event registrations, and for collecting and paying them to the right government agency. PB Focus doesn't calculate, collect, or remit these taxes for you.
10. No Guarantees
We work hard to keep PB Focus running smoothly, but software isn't perfect. PB Focus is provided "as is," and we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We're not responsible for problems caused by things outside our control, like internet outages or issues with Stripe.
We also aren't responsible for how you run your event, disagreements between you and your players, or anything that happens at your event itself.
11. Limiting Our Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim related to PB Focus won't be more than the greater of $500 or the Platform Fees you paid us in the past 12 months. This applies no matter what the claim is based on.
12. You Protect Us (Indemnification)
If a claim, loss, or expense comes up because of your event, your content, your breach of these terms, or your failure to get required permits or licenses, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including attorney's fees, in defending against it.
13. Copyright Complaints
If you believe something on PB Focus infringes your copyright, email us at legal@pickleballventures.com with a description of the material, where it's located, and your contact information, and we'll look into it.
14. Ending Your Account
You can stop using PB Focus any time by closing your account.
We can suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we need to for legal reasons.
Closing your account doesn't cancel any Platform Fees you already owe us.
15. If We Disagree (Dispute Resolution)
Most problems can be solved with a quick email. Reach out to us first at legal@pickleballventures.com and we'll try to work things out with you directly.
If we can't resolve things informally within 30 days, both of us agree to settle the disagreement through binding, individual arbitration instead of going to court in front of a judge or jury. A neutral arbitrator decides the outcome, and neither of us can bring or join a class action, class arbitration, or other group proceeding against the other — every claim has to be handled one-on-one. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules.
This doesn't stop either of us from using small claims court for a qualifying individual claim, or from asking a court to stop unauthorized use of intellectual property.
16. Other Things to Know
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada.
We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know, and continuing to use PB Focus after that means you accept the update.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
These terms, along with our Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and PB Focus about your use of the platform.
You can't transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our written permission. We can transfer our rights and obligations under these terms if, for example, our business is sold or reorganized.
Using PB Focus doesn't make us business partners, joint venturers, or employer/employee — we're independent from each other.
