PB Focus — Player Terms and Conditions

PB Focus Player Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 8, 2026

Hi there, and welcome! PB Focus is the software behind the scenes that lets you register, pay, and get information for pickleball tournaments and leagues run by different organizations ("Organizations"). PB Focus itself doesn't run the event you're playing in — the Organization does. These terms explain your relationship with PB Focus, in plain language.

By creating an account or registering for an event through PB Focus, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use PB Focus.

1. Who's Who

PB Focus ("we," "us") — the software platform, operated by Pickleball Ventures, LLC, that lets you register and pay for events.

The Organization — the group actually hosting your tournament or league. They set the format, schedule, rules, eligibility, and refund policy.

You — the player registering to play.

2. Creating an Account

You'll need to give accurate, current information when you sign up. Keep your login details to yourself, and let us know right away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. Accounts for Players Under 18

If you're 15, 16, or 17, you can create and manage your own account and agree to these terms yourself — no parent needed. Some Organizations may still ask for their own consent forms for specific events.

If you're 14 or younger, you can't create your own account. A parent or legal guardian can add you to their account and register you for events on their behalf.

4. Registering & Paying

When you register for an event, your payment is processed securely through Stripe. PB Focus doesn't see or store your full card details.

Refunds, cancellations, and other event-specific rules are set by the Organization running your event, not by PB Focus. If you need a refund, please reach out to the Organization directly.

5. Playing Pickleball Comes With Some Risk

Pickleball, like any sport, comes with some risk of injury. By registering for an event, you understand that participating is at your own risk, and that PB Focus is only the software connecting you to the event. We're not responsible for what happens on the court, how the event is run, or decisions made by the Organization.

6. Being a Good Player

Please be respectful, provide accurate information, and don't try to misuse, hack, or interfere with the platform. We can suspend or close accounts that don't follow these rules.

7. Content You Share With Us

If you upload anything to your profile or the platform — like a photo, a comment, or feedback on an event — you still own it, but you're giving PB Focus permission to display and use it to operate and promote PB Focus (for example, showing your profile photo or displaying event results). Please only share content that's true, appropriate, and doesn't use anyone else's photos, music, or trademarks without their permission.

8. Who Owns PB Focus

The PB Focus software, website, app, design, and branding belong to us. Using PB Focus gives you permission to use it to register for and participate in events — it doesn't give you any ownership in the platform. Please don't copy, reverse-engineer, or try to rebuild PB Focus.

9. Third-Party Links & Services

PB Focus may link to or work with other websites or services (like Stripe). We're not responsible for those third parties, and using them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

10. Our Role & Its Limits

We're not responsible for the conduct of Organizations, other players, or anything that happens at an event itself. We do our best to keep PB Focus running well, but we can't promise it will always work perfectly.

11. Limiting Our Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim related to PB Focus won't be more than the greater of $100 or any amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

12. You Protect Us (Indemnification)

If a claim, loss, or expense comes up because of your use of PB Focus, content you submit, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including attorney's fees, in defending against it.

13. Ending Your Account

You can stop using PB Focus any time. We can suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

14. If We Disagree (Dispute Resolution)

If you ever have an issue with PB Focus, email us first at legal@pickleballventures.com — most things can be sorted out this way.

If we can't work it out within 30 days, both of us agree to settle the disagreement through binding, individual arbitration rather than going to court in front of a judge or jury. A neutral arbitrator decides the outcome, and neither of us can bring or join a class action or other group proceeding — claims are handled one-on-one. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You can still use small claims court for a qualifying individual claim.

15. Copyright Complaints

If you believe something on PB Focus infringes your copyright, email us at legal@pickleballventures.com with a description of the material, where it's located, and your contact information, and we'll look into it.

16. Other Things to Know

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use PB Focus after an update means you accept the changes.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

You can't transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our written permission.

Using PB Focus doesn't make us business partners, joint venturers, or employer/employee — we're independent from each other.

Questions? Email us at legal@pickleballventures.com.

17. SMS Program

PB Focus sends you transactional communications about your account, registrations, payments, and the events you participate in. Some communications are sent by email; others may be sent by SMS if you have explicitly opted in.

  • SMS is strictly opt-in. You enable SMS by turning on the “SMS alerts” toggle on your profile and verifying your phone number with a one-time code.
  • Message frequency varies based on the events you register for and the notifications enabled by their organizers.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS, or turn off the toggle on your profile. Reply HELP for assistance.
  • Your mobile phone number is not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
